The Situation
Outsourcing Solutions Inc. is a rollup of more than seven different receivables management companies across 60 offices nationwide. Turnover is very high and orientation meetings take place every other Monday to onboard new employees (associates). Each legacy company brought with it an orientation program, but OSI desired to build a culture of “one company” with one, universal orientation and culture-building program.
The Objectives
• Create enthusiastic involvement among new associates.
• Begin the retention process, starting with orientation.
• Create relationships with other new associates during orientation.
• Educate new associates about the company, its benefits, expectations, etc.
The Strategy
• Develop a two-day orientation program with fun activities to draw people together in camaraderie.
• Provide easy-to-use orientation leader guides and all materials needed on CD.
• Provide “train-the-trainer” materials for all locations.
• Brand all components of the program, “OSI – Ready, Set, Go!”
